Speak Easy

Terms of Service

Last updated 18 June 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Learn to Speak Easy (“Speak Easy”, “we”) for use of the Speak Easy app. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The service
Speak Easy helps you practise impromptu speaking: it gives you a prompt, a two-minute timer, a recording of your answer, and AI feedback on your delivery. It is a practice tool, not professional coaching or advice.
Your account
·
Use a valid email and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
·
One account per person. Do not share access or impersonate others.
·
You must be at least 16 to use Speak Easy.
Free and Pro
The free plan includes the full app, with a limit of three prompts per day. Pro removes that limit (unlimited prompts) for £6.99 per month or £49 per year, with a 7-day free trial. We may adjust the free allowance or pricing over time; existing subscribers will be given notice of any price change before it applies to them.
Billing
·
Pro starts with a 7-day free trial and requires a payment method on file.
·
After the trial, your subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel.
·
Cancel any time from Settings (via the Stripe billing portal). You keep Pro access until the end of the period you have paid for; we do not pro-rate partial periods.
·
Payments are handled by Stripe. Prices include VAT where applicable.
Refunds
The free trial lets you try Pro before you pay. Beyond your statutory rights as a consumer, we do not generally refund subscription periods already started. If something has gone wrong, email hello@learntospeakeasy.com and we will try to put it right.
Your content
Your recordings and transcripts are yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them only to provide the service to you (playback, transcription, and feedback), as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use them to train AI models.
Acceptable use
·
Do not use Speak Easy for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive.
·
Do not record content that infringes others' rights or that is illegal.
·
Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
AI feedback
Feedback is generated automatically and is meant as helpful practice guidance. It can be imperfect and is not a substitute for professional advice. Use your own judgement.
Availability
We work to keep Speak Easy running well but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change. We may update or discontinue parts of the service.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, Speak Easy is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending your use
You can stop using Speak Easy and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will let you know. Continuing to use Speak Easy after a change means you accept the updated terms.
